Our Featured Pinay Online Gamer of the Week is a very special one. I knew this gal so much; and I knew her more than any other gamers that she played with. I've already thought of featuring her in my blog since the first day I started this Featured Pinay Online Gamer of the Week series; but I really wait for this very special date for me to feature her in my blog.
Today; May 18, 2001; I'm very proud to introduce the the beautiful pilot of "darkfreak" from Hellios Infinitium Guild and our Featured Pinay Online Gamer of the Week who is no other than Rocel Pimentel Arbes; my very own and beloved wife:
Rocel and I were happily married for exactly five (5) months now. She is working as a High School Science teacher in a respected private school in Caloocan City. Despite of her busy schedule and heavy workload in her school, she is still to do her part as my wife (cooking our food, doing our laundry, etc). She can still manage to play Dragonica PH with me whenever we have our free time together.
Rocel; a.k.a. "darkfreak"; is playing Dragonica PH with me since the very first of Dragonica PH OBT. Though she is not a PVP type of player; for me; she is a strong one. She controls her character very well; and even my own character. Well, I think I've said a lot about her already; let us ask her more personally about her gaming life:
Kiko: When did you start to play online games?
Rocel: matagal na..2003 pa un...16 lng ako..1st year college...HAPPY NA? KUHA MO?? hehehe ^_^
Kiko: Obviously, I'm the one who taught you to play Dragonica PH (LOL!). I wonder who thought you to play your first online game?
Rocel: duh?! feeling mo nman....asus.. classmate ko nung college mlamang...si Ginoong Agaton Balubal..hindi ko n nga lng alam kung nsaan n un..siya nag-aya sa akin noon sa khabaan ng san marcelino st., ermita, manila pra maglaro ng ragnarok (sobrang haba kc ng vacant nmin...tpos pgdating ng school, wla png prof...hahaha) at dun ngsimula ang lahat...wahahaha ^_^
Kiko: In playing online games, what are the level of the strongest character you've made?
Rocel: dti ung sa ragnarok...80+ wizard ako dun...tpos next sa DGN..kc umabot din ako ng third job (3.25 more levels to go) goin' to fourth job na din..
Kiko: In your current game, how did you manage to make your character strong like that? (asides from asking help from me?)
Rocel: huh?! feeling mo nman malakas qa? malaCASH qa lng ngaun noh... i still remember, iniiwan mo p nga character ko dti tpos kung knino ka p nk2pg-party...buti na lang CUTE si DARKFREAK...maraming mabibihag sa kaCUTEan non..mdami nk2pag-party, khit low level p sya. remember, mas nauna p nga ako mg-alvida expert kesa sa'yo nung low level plng tayo..wahahaha ^_^
Kiko: LOL! Oh sya, ikaw na malakas! Hehehe!
Kiko: What is your most unforgettable moment in playing online games? Asides from having our wedding ceremony in Dragonica PH?
Rocel: ahh..mdami eh..nung low level plng ako, naalala ko p nga...PALAGI MO AKO INIIWAN SA LABAS NG MISSION MAP...buti nlng may sawsaw n acolyte sa field somewhere in milkyway sanctuary..ung inaway ko pero inspite of that, sinali p nya ako sa party..tpos nging friend n kmi (khit sa FB)..ayon, palagi n kmi party..BITTER ka p nga dti kc KICK ka niya kpag sasali ka sa party nmin dalawa...DB???
Kiko: Hahahaha! Oo, pang asar yun, Ako na Knight, kick sa party ng 2 magician class? Hehehe. OK lang, masarap din yung may kasamang healer sa grupo.
Rocel: wag ka nga magulo...moment ko to..ini-invite mo ako as featured pinay online gamer of the week tpos sisingit ka jan!! mya ka na...
...at tuloy ang kwento..(hahaha...^_^) pero pinakamalupit nung ng job change n from battlemage to warmage...ang dkilang acolyte buddy ko...level 47 oracle na (adik kc)..bumaba p tlga ng valid raeth from god's sanctuary para tulungan ako sa lavalon dungeon..e2 malupit...
trapper: cnu sasama kay darkfreak?
papabol oracle: ako na!
darkfreak: (kilig...^_^)
paladin: (no comment at all)
...sad to say nung mlapit n m-kill si lavalon, n-deads si papabol oracle pero ndi sya umalis sa loob ng dungeon...ng-leave ung g3y n paladin..dlawa nlng kmi ni trapper boy..
papabol oracle: kya mo yan darkfreak...TALON lng ng TALON....
darkfreak: (talon..talon..at mdaming pang talon...may kasama din attack)

asides from that, ang isa png malup3t eh ung nauto ko ung GL ng s*****w***.. gnwa p nga akong VGM nun db? tpos sustentado p ng gmit..^_^
Kiko: LOL! Hehehe. Anyway, for our next question: Do you have plan to join any gaming competition in future?
Rocel: if meron b nman eh...EW xympre..kya lng bc sa work lalo n ngaun mlapit n ulit resume ng classes..kya below p sa lvl requirements ng guild.. ^_^
Kiko: As a teacher playing online games, any message to our fellow gamers who still go to school?
Rocel: ehem...ehem...how i wish wla akong stupidents (stupid students) n mkbasa neto..as an educator (wtf..english un, taglish n lng) , aral lng ng mabuti guys..ok mg-laro, but don't forget to aim higher goal in life. "WALANG SENSE ung pgiging MALAKAS in-game kung WEAK in real life"..malakas nga character mo; have you asked yourself...ano b status mo sa real world society? Don't waste your time in doing such STUPID thing like cutting classes, asking for higher amount of allowance from your parents, etc. just to satisfy your cravings in playing online game.
Kiko: Anything else you want to say?
Rocel: salamat sa aking mhal n ex bf...(syempre asawa ko n eh) na si francis a.k.a. fortress..sa mga guildmates nmin (Hellios Infinitium)..na sina gemeleigh, boss luci, spakiki (SpaksDaddy daw sbi niya), Venia, PahNext, SlasherX, Reelpot, Sunnyside..at sa iba png kakulitan sa FB group page..hi din sa iba pang in-game fwend ko..kina DarkEyes (sya ung papabol oracle... kya lng quit n)..Daemotheo (oh ayan huh..binati pa rin kita khit gg ka).. kanamee.. Johnjerald.. HolynNhist.. AxlJarabelo, Lamagra, NinjaKatar, Lemonedz (buahahaha...i'm evil..) ^_^
